Robert Bosch's Anderson location had just gone through a 28 week deep dive into costs and performance of its logistics group.  We wanted to reduce costs while at least maintaining our performance levels.  We looked at outsourcing both the on-site (three buildings, nine product groups) and off-site (raw materials, finished goods, and returnable packaging) warehousing and material flow.  Human Technologies was our plant's staffing partner, and they won the job because they were good at metrics, finding good people, and at building and maintaining relationships.

We had a very aggressive start up, transitioning in a short period of time to minimize costs.  They made mistakes, but showed an incredible sense of urgency, and a customer first attitude.  They built relationships with leaders in each product line, the floor level relationships that solve problems quickly before they become bigger problems.  They built relationships with planners that helped speed shipping changes and expedites without elevating problems to management.  As the Bosch manager responsible for their performance, I was impressed with their steady improvement in performance, and at their ability to take on new tasks.

Another Bosch facility was paying its material handling work force more to get better performance.  I said then that if HTI Logistics could attain the same or better level of performance with its lower costs, it would have a great service to sell.

When HTI Logistics surpassed the performance of the combined Bosch and its previous 3PL provider, I had an opportunity to join their team.  I was excited about the opportunity to help them grow.  As a West Point graduate, I was impressed with their professionalism, their loyalty, and their integrity, all things I had learned to value.

After several months with HTI Logistics, I am very pleased with my decision to join their team.  We seem to have a unique niche, handling all receiving, storing, material handling, and shipping for a manufacturing facility.  We blend in well with many different groups in the facility, from accounting, to quality, to production, to planning.  We have much to offer companies with similar needs.
