HTI Logistics VP Attends Atlanta 3PL Conference |
|
Greenville, SC
- October 19, 2007 -HTI Logistics, a Greenville-based
provider of managed logistics services, announces that the company's Vice
President David Sewell recently attended the Third-Party Logistics conference
in Atlanta, GA.
The week-long conference, part of the supply chain course
series offered by the Georgia Institute of Technology, focused on the "If,
When, and How" of third-party logistics. The conference concentrated on
learning how to utilize third-party logistics to reduce total logistics costs
and improve supply chain service levels.
"Only 10% of the people in the logistics industry
have any formal education in logistics," said Sewell. "This conference is one
in a series of continuing education classes for an explosive industry at its
infancy. The conference was very informative in bridging the relational gap
between vendors and providers and how to work with one another."
The conference was directed by world-renowned
logistics educator Edward H. Frazelle, Ph.D.
